There was no real "wow" factor to this place, but it's definitely one of the best options in the immediate area. It shares a parking lot with the Residence Inn so it's really convenient for guests there.
I had sushi here and wasn't really impressed. The nigiri was pretty good, but the seaweed wrap for the maki wasn't all that fresh. Even if the fish is good, stale seaweed can ruin a roll for me.
The service was quick, but a little curt. I think the guy serving me may have been an owner and/or manager because he seemed more concerned with handling receipts than with customer service.
Overall, it's a great place if you're in the area, but it's definitely not a destination.

Minus two stars for the terrible service. They couldn't be less interested in your business if you show up at 8 pm or later. They'll whisk your plates away so quick your head will spin. But if you need some quick fresh sushi takeout, this place will do.

I've been to Bamboo twice over the past few months, and each time I've enjoyed my meal.
As mentioned, the Chinese food is better than the Japanese. I mean, the edamame was terrific-ly salty and hot -- but that'd be pretty hard to mess with! The Philadelphia maki roll is great, but I wouldn't spend $$ on the more elaborate rolls (Spider roll and the like).
Crab rangoon is pretty good, as it's not greasy (as sometimes the dough can be). Have also enjoyed the vegetable and shrimp tempura. Spicy beef and beef with broccoli are also very tasty -- not at all greasy, nor does it leave you with that uncomfortable feeling one gets after noshing on chinese food.
In general, the prices are satisfactory, the wait staff is attentive (but can be a bit difficult to understand if you aren't paying attention), and the decor represents the bamboo theme quite nicely.
*Also seems to be very popular for takeout ... so enjoy!

I agree with Bill O., Bamboo is the best Chinese/Asian restaurant in the area which isn't a ringing endorsement. Anyways, the Lychee martini must be their signature drink because it seemed very popular. I ordered one and it was sweet and smooth.
I ordered their pan friend scallops which was fresh and seasoned just the way I like it. I also had the "Sushi Delight" which was good but not great. However, I like the decor, it's clean and modern. The restrooms are clean. That how you can tell it's an upscale Chinese Restaurant!

LOVE Bamboo and have since day one. I think the best part, aside from the large array of choices, is that I've never felt sick from their food.
They offer traditional food associated w/ Chinese restaurants (crab ragoon, beef teriyaki), as well as some lower fat and unique dishes. Also think the sushi is fabulous.
It is pricier (hence the 4/5 stars), but wouldn't you rather cough up a few more dollars than spend the night feeling dehydrated and bloated?

Everything I've tried here is good. I think their Chinese food is what they do best, as I've had better Japanese food.
Service is normally good, the bar is pretty nice, and parking is normally not a problem.
Only negative I can think of is the price. Certainly the most expensive Chinese food in the area.
It's the best in Westford, but you'll have to pay a little bit more for it.

Excellent food, wide selection of asian cuisine from Chinese to Japanese. Fantastic sushi, too! They have a huge lunch buffet (also on Sunday evenings), a full bar, and plenty of seating. Consistently good, I highly recommend this place.

This is definitely the best Chinese place in the area. They have quite a good sushi bar as well. Very friendly staff, fast takeout. A great bar.
Nothing really bad, but nothing really great either, just an ok restaurant. I hate to say "mediocre", because people sometimes take that as an euphemism for "poor". But it's definitely middle-of-the-road.
Generally speaking I'm not one for chainy sort of restaurants, but I've got to say that they do a good job. Anytime I've ever been the foods been great and it won't leave your wallet dry.

Oh, heavenly! My wife's family swears by this place (they live in Acton, not exactly a hotbed of fine cuisine) and my wife and I have been faithfully going here for two years. We usually go on Sundays to take advantage of the buffet, which offers shumai, sushi, and an assortment of Chinese dishes. It's definitely the best Chinese in the area, and their sushi is also quite fresh. They have a good selection of sushi, too, and generously sized rolls. The one drawback is greasiness - sometimes the buffet is a bit too oily, especially if it's been sitting out too long. I would recommend going early on Sunday evenings if you want to do the buffet. I've never ordered a drink here, but martinis seem to be popular, and the bar area looks cosy. Jeff, the manager, is always very friendly and I think the service is quite good, especially if you're a regular. It's definitely a cut above other area places in terms of ambiance and variety.
